We are looking forward to welcoming new students into the Lake Mary High School Band Program next year. If your student is planning to join band at LMHS, there are a number of events and deadlines coming up between now and the start of the school year that you will want to be aware of.
Several documents are attached to this post. The first is a general information letter covering what to expect as a new band student, including a breakdown of key events from spring auditions through Band Camp in late July and early August. The second outlines the specific audition requirements for Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Marching Percussion. Additional documents include:

A few things worth noting before you read through:
Auditions are not required for Symphonic Band, Beginning Band, or Jazz Combo. Students interested in Wind Ensemble or Jazz Band should schedule a single audition appointment that covers both ensembles. Percussionists interested in Marching Percussion have a separate clinic and audition schedule beginning in late April.
The Incoming Freshman Info Night on April 14 at 7 PM in the LMHS Band Room is a good first step for any student or family with questions about the program.
