I’m sending a quick update about the LMHS band’s proposed trip to Washington DC during next year’s Spring Break. Our trip proposal has been approved!!! So, this is what I know at this point:
- The trip is currently scheduled for March 15-19, 2025.
- The cost will be around $1200, the exact amount depending on how many people turn in their deposits by a particular date.
- Payments can be made in up to 5 installments, with the balance due before the Winter Break.
- The trip is entirely optional.
We are actively exploring various fundraising options to provide students with opportunities to offset the cost of the trip. More details will be shared soon.
I am incredibly excited about reviving the ‘band trip’ tradition! I firmly believe that the high school band experience is enriched not just by the music, but also by the shared experiences and memories we create together.
More details will be sent out via email and posted to marchingrams.org over the summer as they are established. Have a great summer everyone!
