Band Orientation Night, Tuesday, July 15, 2025

Dear LMHS Band Students & Families,
I hope you’ve had a restful and refreshing summer break! As we stand on the verge of a brand-new season, I want to officially welcome you back, greet our new members, and share some important details about our first event of the year.
Date: Tuesday, July 15, 2025
Time: 6-8PM
Location: LMHS Auditorium
What to brng:
  • a parent or guardian
  • a mobile device for filling out forms
  • a method to make inital payments & purchases
 
Marching Rams Orientation will take place in one week on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 6PM in the LMHS Auditorium.
Orientation Night is our first opportunity to come together as our “updated” band family. The evening is designed to share important information about the upcoming season, set expectations, and get initial paperwork and payments taken care of. Whether you’re new to the program or a seasoned veteran, this night will help set the tone for a successful year. We’ll cover:
  • Required paperwork
  • Season costs and payment information
  • Marching band gear and uniforms
  • Communication tools
  • Volunteer opportunities
    …and more!
One especially important reason to attend: Orientation helps us finalize the official roster for marching band and reserve your spot in the halftime show—so your presence is crucial.
Other Important Dates
  • Leadership Camp: July 21-23, 9AM-4PM
    • This event is required for members of student leadership.
  • Rookie Camp: July 23-25, 5PM-8PM
    • This event is required for all first-year members of the Marching Rams.
  • Band Social & Game Night: July 25, 7PM-9PM
    • This event is open to all members of the Marching Rams and is encouraged but not required.
  • Band Camp: July 28-August 1, 9AM-9PM
    • This event is required for all members of the Marching Rams. If you have a conflict with this event, notify Mr. Langston ASAP!
  • Friends & Family Show: August 1, 6PM, LMHS Stadium
    • This event will feature our first performance of the year! It is free and open to all friends, families, and members of the community.

Coming Soon: SCPS will begin to use a new method of communication via the ParentSquare app beginning in August. Stay tuned for more info on that as it will be another significant piece of our communication stream.
